Innovaciones Circulares was founded with a clear mission: to transform agricultural waste into a valuable resource and address the inefficiencies in fertilizer use. Our journey began with a shared passion for sustainability and a commitment to creating resilient food systems by keeping nutrients where they belong.

After over a decade of working closely with pig farmers, our founder, Joaquin Viquez, identified a critical gap: most phosphorus fertilizers were lost to the environment due to heavy rains and reactive soils. During a farm visit, our team discovered a naturally occurring ammonium phosphate crystal in the wastewater, which inspired the development of a solution that could recover these nutrients. Through years of research and development, Innovaciones Circulares created a proprietary technology that replicates this crystal formation process to produce a highly efficient, controlled-release fertilizer.

Today, we are pioneering a new approach in agriculture—one that aligns nutrient management with sustainability. By turning waste into value, our technology not only reduces environmental impact but also provides farmers with a cost-effective and reliable solution tailored to the needs of tropical crops. Our network of local nutrient recovery plants is growing, and we aim to establish 20 large-scale recovery sites, producing over 200 tons of sustainable fertilizer each year.
